I’m totally upset right now. My manager at the restaurant must have found out I took a second job, because yesterday she called me into the office to tell me she was cutting another dinner shift of mine. She has never really liked me and is always kind of bitchy and rude when she talks to me. She tried to make it sound like she was cutting other people back too, but I know for a fact I’m one of only two servers who lost shifts. And the other guy has only been there 2 months, whereas I’ve worked there over a year! She just smiled and said, “at least it won’t be quite as hard on you since you have another job now.” I was so mad! So that’s how it is, huh? I think I’m going to quit the cafe. I have a meeting with Shirley (the catering company owner) later, and I’m going to ask her to schedule me for as many events as possible.
